FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

 Classes:

Do you offer team building experiences?

Yes! We regularly run team building workshops in our studio. If you’re interested in having a group glass blowing experience with us, please reach out to our team at info@vsg.gallery. Please let us know the number of students planning to attend, as well as what dates work for you. Please note, your session will take place during our business hours 11-6.

Are our classes beginner friendly?

Yes! Our object class is especially catered towards beginners and is a great introduction to the material. Your instructor will walk you through safety of being in the hot shop and handling hot glass and all the necessary tools will be provided for you on the day of your lesson.

I have some glass blowing experience already, do you offer more advanced lessons?

Our private lesson is a great option that accommodates all levels of experience. These sessions are fully catered to your ideas and skillset, with the main focus on what you want to create. Whether you already know a few things about glass making or would like to try it for the first time, private lessons are a great choice to make your glass ideas reality.

When do you run your classes?

We currently hold our classes on Saturdays between 12 pm and 5:30 pm with exceptions for corporate events or very large groups.

What’s minimum age for your classes?

Our classes are 16 y.o. and with some exceptions for ages 14 y.o. and up with parental supervision - please reach out to us at info@vsg.gallery before booking a class for anyone under 16.

Custom Orders:

Do you take on custom projects?

We welcome custom commission work in our studio on project to project basis.

Generally speaking, to determine whether we can take on your idea we need to establish these four points: size, color, budget and timeline. If you’re interested in inquiring about your idea, please reach out to us with your design, reference photos or drawings, as well as answers to the fore mentioned ‘size, color, budget, timeline’ descriptors.

Do you do repairs?

Officially we do not offer repair services. ‘Simple’ fixes very often aren’t simple. Most of the time, repairs end up costing the same or more than the original object is worth. That being said, we are happy to discuss and advise you on your repair requests.

Do you offer memorial commission works?

Yes, we take on memorial work regularly at VSG. Please reach out to us at info@vsg.gallery with your request, and we’ll be glad to discuss this with you.

Where do you ship?

Vancouver Studio Glass ships to most places in the world. All glass pieces are safely packaged and double-boxed for travel. Keep in mind weight, size and location will affect shipping costs.

How are shipping costs calculated?

We ship our glass using Canada Post or UPS. Shipping costs are based on the package size, weight, receiver’s location.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Shipping times may vary, though most of our orders arrive within 1-2 weeks for orders within Canada and US. If you have a specific timeframe for receiving your items, let us know at info@vsg.gallery and we’ll do our best to help.

Will I be charged customs if I order internationally?

Depending on the destination country, international order customers may be charged customs for parcels they receive. More information can usually be found on your government site.

Can I exchange or return my glass piece?
